Management Accountant
Location: Smeaton Grange, NSW
Employment Type: Full Time
About the Role
We are seeking a commercially minded and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our team at our Smeaton Grange manufacturing site.
This role is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and commercially relevant financial information to support decision-making across the business. Working closely with Finance and operational leaders, the Management Accountant will play a key role in management reporting, cost and production accounting, and business partnering activities.
You will help translate financial data into actionable insights that improve operational performance, strengthen financial discipline, and drive profitability across the business.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and timely monthly management reports (EOM) and financial analysis

Deliver cost and production accounting support across manufacturing operations

Analyse operational and production performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities

Partner with operational leaders to improve cost control and business efficiency

Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes

Assist with inventory accounting, stock reconciliations, and variance analysis

Assist with year-end financial activities including audit process as required

Maintain and strengthen financial controls, processes, and reporting accuracy

Support capital expenditure analysis and investment decision-making

Provide insights and recommendations to improve profitability and operational performance
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

CA/CPA qualification or working towards completion (Preferred)

Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar commercial finance role

Experience within manufacturing, production, or industrial environments highly regarded
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
-
A proactive approach with the ability to work collaboratively across operational teams

High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
