MR Truck Driver / Removalist Driver Wanted — FurniShift
FurniShift is looking for a reliable MR Truck Driver / Removalist Driver to join our growing transport and removals team.
We provide furniture transport, small moves, apartment moves, storage moves, Marketplace pickups and general removalist services across Melbourne.
Position: MR Truck Driver / Removalist Driver
Hours: 30–48 hours per week
Pay: $30–$50 per hour, depending on experience, reliability and ability
Location: Melbourne / South East Melbourne
Start: Immediate or by agreement
Main duties include:
- Driving MR trucks safely between jobs
- Loading and unloading furniture and household items
- Using trolleys, straps, blankets and moving equipment properly
- Protecting customer items from damage
- Helping with apartment moves, house moves, storage moves and furniture deliveries
- Checking job details, addresses, access notes and item lists
- Taking before and after photos when required
- Communicating professionally with customers
- Collecting job information and reporting any issues or damage
- Working safely with another mover/off-sider
Requirements:
- Valid MR licence
- Good driving record
- Physically fit and able to lift/move furniture safely
- Reliable, punctual and honest
- Good customer service skills
- Able to follow instructions and job sheets
- Comfortable working 30–48 hours per week
- Removalist experience preferred, but not essential for the right person
- Must take care with customer belongings
- Must be available for some weekend work when required
