About the role
The Clinical Measurements Scientist - Cardiac provides routine cardiac clinical measurement services within the Cardiac Sciences Unit across The Prince Charles Hospital, Redcliffe Hospital and Caboolture Hospital. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the role supports the delivery of safe, high-quality diagnostic cardiac services while developing advanced skills and knowledge across a range of specialised cardiac measurement disciplines.
The successful candidate will perform cardiac clinical measurements, contribute to patient-centred care and progressively develop the expertise required to undertake increasingly complex cardiac scientific procedures. The role also supports continuous learning, quality improvement and the delivery of contemporary cardiac diagnostic services that contribute to positive patient outcomes.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Provide routine cardiac clinical measurement services across areas such as electrocardiography, cardiac catheterisation, echocardiography, cardiac devices and electrophysiology.
Apply developing clinical judgement and technical expertise to support safe, accurate and evidence-based cardiac diagnostic procedures.
Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care and support positive clinical outcomes.
Participate in quality improvement activities, professional development programs and service enhancement initiatives within the Cardiac Sciences Unit.
Support the education and development of students and less experienced practitioners under appropriate clinical supervision.
