About the role
The Manager, Timetable and Resource Scheduling is responsible for providing leadership in the planning and operational management of the University's bookable resources. This includes the development, publication, and year-round management of the academic timetable and specialised spaces. The position optimises the utilisation of UNE's assets to enhance the learning and teaching experience and drives continuous improvement through the development and implementation of advanced scheduling systems. This role directly contributes to the university's strategic planning and operational excellence.
Operating within a skilled and digitally focused team, this position is integral to delivering high-quality services to both students and staff. It significantly influences campus planning activities, ensuring UNE's physical environment effectively supports its core mission in learning, research, and community engagement.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:

A comprehensive understanding of asset scheduling and management technologies, particularly within the higher education landscape.

Strong project management capabilities, including experience in software contract management, business analysis and stakeholder engagement.

The ability to foster high-level collaboration and achieve strategic objectives across all organisational levels, supported by highly developed communication, interpersonal, and business partnering skills.

The capability to lead and develop a team to achieve organisational objectives, fostering professional growth and cultivating a supportive work environment.

About Estate and Built Environment
The Estate and Built Environment (EBE) Directorate is responsible for the planning, scheduling, development, management, and maintenance of UNE's buildings, infrastructure, grounds, and facilities across all campuses.
The Directorate ensures UNE's physical environment supports the University's strategic goals, delivering safe, sustainable, and innovative spaces for learning, research, and community engagement.
