Position Summary:
The Office Manager is responsible for organising, coordinating, and controlling the administrative functions and resources of the office. This role requires a high level of professionalism, strong organisational skills, and the ability to supervise staff, manage systems, and ensure compliance with Australian regulations. This position aligns with ANZSCO 512111 Office Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to planning, reviewing, and improving office services and workflows
- Set priorities and maintain office service standards
- Allocate human resources, workspace, and equipment
- Assign tasks and monitor staff performance
- Manage office records, accounts, and administrative systems
- Liaise with accountants, consultants, and external professionals
- Maintain office equipment, supplies, and vendor relationships
- Ensure compliance withWork Health & Safety (WHS) regulations
- Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian legislation, policies, and procedures
- Coordinate HR activities including hiring, onboarding, performance management, payroll support, training, and supervision
- Support management with operational planning, scheduling, and reporting
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Associate Degree in Business Administration or related field
- OR at leastthree years of relevant experience in office management
- Strong organisational and leadership capabilities
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
- Experience supervising staff and managing administrative systems
- Knowledge of WHS compliance and Australian workplace regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and office software
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in accounting, tax, or professional services
- Familiarity with Australian payroll systems
- Understanding of HR processes and compliance requirements
