KYC is seeking dedicated care staff to join our team in supporting children and young people in care. The role requires genuine, caring persons that are invested in providing a quality care home and working alongside children and young people for their futures. The positions are based on rotational rosters with a family based model that is consistent for the children and young people residing in their care home. The rosters require a minimum of 2 nights / 3 day shifts (consecutive). Essential Requirements:
Qualifications or current study in community services qualifications (minimum cert IV);
Knowledge of and experience in working with children and young people with trauma backgrounds and challenging behaviours;
Current Working with Children Blue Card with Blue Card Services QLD;
Current recognised First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain;
Current Hope and Healing Training or willing to obtain;
Current First Response Fire Training or willing to obtain;
Willing and able to undertake rostered shift work;
Willing and flexible to assist with last minute shifts if required;
Willing to work weekends and public holidays including overnight shifts;
Willing to follow the policies and procedures of KYC including undertaking professional development and supervision;
Current unencumbered driver’s licence
