Disability Home Support Australia (DHSA) provides specialised, high-quality support for people with complex physical disabilities to live safely and independently in their own homes.
We are looking for experienced and compassionate Senior Disability Support Workers to join our growing team. Many of the people we support live with progressive neurological conditions such as Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and require skilled, reliable and person-centred care.

About the Role
As a Senior Disability Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, individualised support to people with complex and high-intensity needs.
Depending on the client, your role may include:
- Providing high-intensity supports, such as enteral feeding, catheter care, dysphagia and mealtime support, medication assistance and complex personal care
- Supporting safe transfers using equipment such as hoists and Sara Stedy
- Assisting with personal care and activities of daily living
- Supporting clients to participate in their community and maintain independence
- Monitoring changes in a client's condition and escalating concerns appropriately
- Completing accurate care documentation and progress notes
- Following individualised care plans and clinical support plans
- Working collaboratively with clients, families, Registered Nurses and the broader care team

About You
We are looking for people who are compassionate, experienced, reliable, and person-centred.
Ideally, you will have:
- Significant experience in disability, healthcare or complex personal care
- Experience supporting people with complex physical or neurological disabilities, such as MND and MS
- Confidence providing personal care and high-intensity supports, or the ability to undertake client-specific training
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- The ability to recognise changes in a client's condition and escalate concerns appropriately
- A professional, respectful and person-centred approach
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary care team
- Reliability and flexibility to work a range of shifts, which may include evenings, weekends, overnight shifts and public holidays
Qualifications and Experience
Highly regarded:
- Nursing, medicine, allied health or other healthcare qualifications or studies
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or a related discipline
- Previous experience supporting people with MND, MS, acquired brain injury or other complex neurological conditions
- Experience with high-intensity disability supports
- Current driver's licence
Mandatory Requirements
Successful applicants will be required to hold or obtain:
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check, where applicable
- Relevant worker screening and employment checks
- Valid Australian working rights
