The Role
Get your Electrical career rolling with Australia’s largest Co-Operative and a leader in the Australian Grain Industry.
The apprenticeship program will provide training, mentorship, and supervision from highly experienced Tradespeople, who are invested in seeing you finish your apprenticeship and reach your potential.
This position will be based in Geraldton, requiring regular travel throughout the Zone (from Binnu to Mingenew, Carnamah and Latham and surrounding areas).
Roster: Standard shifts are Monday to Friday, with additional weekend work and extended hours during harvest period as needed.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance on fixed and portable machinery including diagnosing and fault-finding PLC controlled equipment, including elevators and conveyors, trippers, and dust systems.
- Attend Tafe blocks as required
About You:
- Completed an Electrical Pre – Apprenticeship or previous Industry work Experience
- Hold a Construction White Card or be eligible to obtain one
- Valid ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence
- Interested in a career in the Electrical field
- A strong safety focus, and commitment to safe work practices
- Ability to travel within the Geraldton zone regularly
- Attention to detail and a strong desire to learn
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces and in areas with high grain dust concentrations
