About us:
The Senior Social Worker - Domestic and Family Violence plays a key role in leading coordinated, trauma-informed responses to domestic and family violence across Central Queensland. Working alongside the Capricornia District High Risk Team and a network of government and community partners, you'll help drive collaboration, strengthen information sharing, and support safer outcomes for individuals and families experiencing DFV.
About the role:
Deliver high-level social work services aligned with AASW standards, using contemporary domestic and family violence (DFV) risk assessment and safety frameworks.
Contribute to the development of DFV clinical practices, procedures, and protocols across CQHHS.
Collaborate with health services, community organisations, and partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes for people affected by DFV.
Apply specialist knowledge within legislative frameworks to support information sharing, risk assessment, and coordinated responses that prioritise victim safety and perpetrator accountability.
About you:
Degree in Social Work with eligibility for (or membership of) the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), with ongoing compliance with professional standards.
Extensive knowledge of contemporary domestic and family violence (DFV) practice and response frameworks.
Strong social work skills in assessing complex psychosocial needs and managing complex caseloads with sound professional judgement.
Knowledge of DFV and relevant health legislation to support safe, integrated care.
Proven ability to provide clinical leadership and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to support individuals and families.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $157,359 p.a. is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $64.64 - $69.55 p.h.
