- This is a Clerk Grade 11/12 role with a salary range of $154,231 - $178,369 per annum plus superannuation

About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in strengthening the governance, compliance, and effectiveness of government grant programs. Reporting to senior leadership, you will lead a specialist team responsible for program assessment, evaluation, assurance, and risk management across a diverse grants portfolio.
You will work closely with executives, program teams, and stakeholders to develop and implement frameworks, policies, and processes that ensure grant programs are delivered in a transparent, accountable, and compliant way. The role provides expert guidance on grants governance, program design, evaluation, compliance reviews, and risk management, helping the organisation meet its obligations while driving continuous improvement.
As a trusted advisor, you will support the development of business cases, policy proposals, and grant initiatives, while providing high-quality advice and assurance to senior executives. You will also facilitate stakeholder engagement, lead assurance activities, and contribute to strategic decision-making that delivers positive outcomes for government and the community.

About You
You are an experienced governance, assurance, risk, or program management professional with a strong understanding of grants administration, compliance, and evaluation principles.
- To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience in governance, risk, assurance, evaluation, or grants administration.
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks, governance processes, and risk management principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex and sensitive issues.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with senior executives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes within tight timeframes.
- Most importantly, you are passionate about improving public sector outcomes through robust governance, effective risk management, and continuous improvement in program delivery.
