SAFRON Indian Cuisine is an Indian Restaurant based in Geelong, Victoria. We are looking for four Full-time chef's & cook's who can bear responsibilities of making Indian Curries, tandoori & Indo Chinese food items. Chef's must be able to cook variety of food items using various spices and sauces using authentic Indian cooking methods.
In addition to creating and preparing dishes you must be able to interact with restaurant staff or customers if needed, work in pressurized situations, be good at team work and have business skills to order supplies, maintain stock, establish budgets and quote prices for items cooked.

* A minimum 1 year cooking experience (must have experience in Indian style cooking)

* Ability to run sections in a high paced kitchen

* Passion, energy and a desire to perform at the highest standard.
Tasks & responsibilities
* Experience in running sections in high paced kitchens at the highest standard.
* Standardize the portion of the dish according to the weight and cost.
* Monitoring quality of dishes, including preparation and presentation.
* Compliance with the hygiene practices of the organization. Keeping proper record of the inventory.
* Maintaining the equipment's and work area to neat and clean to ensure the kitchen is maintained at specific level of hygiene
* Organize timely staff member meetings.
* Reporting management about any incident occurred that can cause a safety issue at workplace.
* Smooth delivery of prepared food to the customers according to their orders
* Maintaining high cooking standards and memorizing the specifications of all the popular menu items.
* Good Communication Skills.
Salary Package within the range of $76,000.00 - $80,000.00 + Superannuation.
