Based at Newcastle Community Health, the Hunter New England Drug and Alcohol Service is part of the wider Drug and Alcohol Clinical Services team. Together, we provide safe, compassionate and person-centred care to people seeking support for drug and alcohol dependency. Conveniently located and easily accessible by public transport, you'll be joining a welcoming and supportive team committed to improving health outcomes across our community.
As an Administration Officer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our service runs smoothly each day. Your organisational skills and attention to detail will help support clinicians and patients by providing high-quality administrative assistance across the service.
Your day may include:

Managing correspondence and general enquiries.

Scheduling appointments and maintaining clinical administration systems.

Supporting the day-to-day operations of the service.

Providing professional, person-centred customer service to patients, carers and stakeholders.

Adapting to changing priorities and responding positively to the demands of a dynamic healthcare environment.

What you'll be doing
Provide an efficient and effective secretarial and administration support service for Drug & Alcohol Clinical Services primarily within the Planning, Performance and Partnerships and as directed by DACS Director and District Manager.
