Description:
The Position
We are seeking an experienced Civil Foreman to lead and work alongside a civil construction crew on projects across Melbourne, predominantly in the South East.
This hands-on role requires strong experience in road construction, including earthworks, subgrade and base preparation, pavement construction, drainage and final trim for asphalt paving.
You will coordinate daily activities, labour, plant and materials while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
This is a full-time, predominately Monday-to-Friday role based in Wantirna.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and work alongside the crew to deliver civil construction projects.
Plan daily activities and coordinate labour, plant, equipment and materials.
Read and interpret plans, specifications and levels.
Monitor progress and communicate delays or issues to the Project Manager.
Complete pre-starts, toolbox talks and daily site reporting.
Ensure safety, environmental and quality requirements are met.
Liaise with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
What You’ll Bring
Experience as a Civil Foreman, Supervisor or experienced Leading Hand.
Strong practical knowledge of road construction and civil works.
Ability to interpret plans, specifications and levels.
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
White Card, valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
HR licence and relevant plant tickets are highly regarded.
