Premier Constructions Australia is one of Australia's leading service providers specialised in
steel fixing, formwork, concrete, and labour, equipment & fleet hire.
Working on major projects across Adelaide, we are currently seeking full-time Formwork Carpenters to join the team.
Pay Rate: $40-50p/h
3-month probation period. The job has the potential to become full-time employment for the right candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Measure, mark, cut, assemble, install, and dismantle timber and modular formwork systems.
- Construct formwork for footings, foundations, basement structures, columns, beams, walls, suspended slabs, and retaining walls.
- Install bracing, props, and supports to ensure formwork is secure and compliant with project requirements.
- Prepare formwork for concrete pours and assist with concrete placement where required.
- Strip and clean formwork after concrete has cured for reuse on future projects.
- Carry out set-out tasks and ensure formwork is installed accurately to specified levels and dimensions.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and effectively.
- Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment between project sites.
- Operate a forklift (where licensed) and drive the company's manual truck when required.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe worksite.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, subcontractors, and other trades.
- Comply with all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies, procedures, and industry standards.
What you'll need to succeed
· Carpentry: 3 years’ experience (required) framing: 3 years (required)
· White card
· Proof of rights to work in Australia
· PPE (long sleeve, long pants, hard hat, hi vis & steel cap boots)
· You must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen before commencing employment
Desirable but not Essential
· Construction tickets such as High-Risk Work, Working at Heights, EWP
