Ready to lead Australia's most complex and significant valuation portfolio? JLL is seeking an exceptional Senior Director to head our Public Sector Valuations team. From our Melbourne or Canberra office, you'll lead teams across Australia delivering market-defining government valuations.
This isn't just about valuations - it's about thought leadership, strategic client partnerships, and developing the next generation of valuation professionals.
What You’ll Do
Manage Australia's most complex government and public sector valuation assignments
Take ownership on high-risk, high-profile projects
Ensure all deliverables meet IVS, API, and IFRS reporting standards
Develop innovative strategies that balance client needs with risk management
Lead and mentor Public Sector team leaders across multiple locations
Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Generate new business through strategic client engagement and business development
Exceed client expectations on every engagement
Provide flexible, problem-solving approaches tailored to client needs
Maintain regular touchpoints to strengthen long-term partnerships
Position JLL as the first-choice service provider for public sector valuations
What You'll Bring
CPV qualification
Australian Citizenship (essential for government security clearances)
Ability to obtain and maintain relevant baseline security clearances
10+ years of related valuation experience
Recognition as an expert in specialist fields (plant, land, building valuations)
Advanced knowledge of commercial property markets and public sector assets
Strong understanding of ESG considerations in professional services
Proven track record managing P&L and team budgets
Demonstrated success leading geographically dispersed teams
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strategic mindset with strong analytical and financial acumen
