Permanent part-time, on-site Registered Nurse role at Nixon Street Medical Centre, a community-focused healthcare practice providing comprehensive primary care services to individuals and families in Shepparton, VIC.
Key responsibilities
- Support general practitioners and coordinate patient appointments and follow-up
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Contribute to care planning and health education
- Assist with chronic disease management and vaccinations
- Perform infection control activities
- Adhere to clinical protocols and practice policies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with the wider clinical and administrative team to ensure a safe and efficient care environment
About you
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)
- Demonstrated experience in general practice, primary care, or similar clinical settings
- Proficiency in patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, and wound management
- Strong clinical documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical record systems
- Knowledge of infection control principles, immunization practices, and chronic disease management
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to person-centered care, cultural safety, privacy, and confidentiality
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and respond calmly in urgent or changing clinical situations
- Ongoing commitment to professional development and adherence to current clinical guidelines
- Current CPR/Basic Life Support certification; vaccination competency and relevant clearances (e.g., national police check, Working with Children Check) are desirable
Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
