This is a client-facing advisory role requiring strong technical research skills, clear written communication and the ability to translate accounting and finance issues into practical advice for clients. The role will also support finance teams to uplift processes, systems and reporting outcomes. Candidates with a background in Audit or Business Services are well suited, bringing the right mix of technical accounting discipline, process understanding and client delivery experience.
Key responsibilities:

- Assist with the delivery of ongoing lease accounting services for a portfolio of lease management clients, including lease processing and journals under AASB 16. Exposure to this standard is preferred, but deeper expertise will be supported by senior team members.
- Apply IFRS knowledge, including undertaking technical research of standards as required, and assist with the preparation of accounting papers, technical memos, reports, presentations and other client-facing deliverables.
- Work with client finance teams to understand current-state processes, identify practical improvement opportunities and support finance processes or systems uplift initiatives.
- Gather, review and analyse financial and non-financial information to support reporting, process improvement and advisory outcomes.
- Prepare clear and professional client correspondence across a range of formats, including emails, reports, memos and PowerPoint presentations.
- Build strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, contributing to high-quality, practical and commercially focused outcomes.
- Contribute to internal capability building, including the development of tools, templates, methodologies and training materials where required.
