The Role
Winnellie Hydraulics is a specialist in hydraulics, fluid power components, and industrial supply. Our customers are a broad mix: miners, contractors, OEMs, tradies, and equipment operators. They call us, email us, and walk in the door for parts, prices, and quotes.
We're looking for an Internal Sales Coordinator to own that day-to-day customer contact. You'll be handling enquiries, building quotes, processing orders, and keeping things moving across a shared inbox and phone line.
The product range is wide and always changing; this isn't a role where you'll be selling the same thing on repeat. If you're the kind of person who likes variety, picks things up quickly, and enjoys figuring out what a customer really needs, you'll find a lot to like here.
What You'll Be Doing
- Answering inbound calls and emails - first point of contact for customer enquiries
- Preparing and sending quotes accurately and on time
- Processing customer purchase orders, sales orders, and related documentation
- Managing shared inboxes and keeping follow-ups from falling through the cracks
- Sourcing pricing and availability from suppliers to support quotes
- Managing Ariba orders and procurement documentation
- Coordinating with the workshop, logistics, and sales teams to progress jobs
- Passing qualified leads through to the external sales team
What We're Looking For
We're not expecting you to arrive knowing hydraulics. The technical side can be learned, and we'll support you in doing that. You’ll be a good fit if you:
- Communicate clearly and confidently, on the phone and in writing
- Stay organised when things are busy and priorities are shifting
- Follow through so that customers and colleagues can count on you to close the loop
- Pick up new products and information quickly
- Have solid computer skills and are comfortable learning new systems
Experience that will help (but isn't essential):
- A background in trade supply, retail, admin, or a customer-facing role
- Experience with quoting, purchase orders, or ERP/procurement systems
- Any exposure to industrial, mechanical, or technical products
You'll also need:
- Full Australian working rights
- Valid Driver's Licence
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
What’s On Offer
- Genuine variety - broad product range, diverse customer base, no two days the same
- A team that will show you the ropes - you won't be left to figure it out alone
- Stable, permanent full-time role in a well-established business
- Darwin-based - no travel, no FIFO
- Real opportunity to build knowledge in a niche industry that's always in demand
