Job description:
Echo Marine Group specialize in the manufacture of Luxury Superyachts, Commercial Workboats, and Refits and Maintenance on a range of vessels in the Superyacht, Workboat and Defence areas. Currently we are working on some exciting new Projects and looking for enthusiastic and proactive Welder to join our Production Team on a full-time basis!
The Position:
The ideal candidate will undertake the following duties:
- Interpret Technical Drawings for Job Tasks
- Cleaning and preparing metal materials
- Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, machinery and heat treatments to cut, bend, shape and align metal parts
- Join metals using various welding techniques according to company weld procedures and survey requirements
- Perform welding in flat, vertical and overhead positions
- Remove rough spots and blend stop/starts from work using die grinder or grinder
- Observe welded surfaces and evaluate weld quality and conformance to weld specifications
- Follow safe work practices
Experience and requirements:
To be successful for this position, you must possess the following experience:
- Minimum of two years welding experience
- Strong Welding technical skills
- A Trade Certificate in Fabrication/Welding would be highly desirable
- Candidates with Aluminium experience desirable.
- High attention to detail
- Reliable and Enthusiastic with strong work ethics
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities
- Must be able to work in a team environment
On Offer:
In return for your skills and experience, Echo Marine Group can offer a salary range from $39 - $45 per hour excluding super and penalties.
Pay: $39.00 – $45.00 per hour
