About the role:
The Business Systems Analyst plays a critical role in supporting and enhancing Avant’s customer platforms, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365 CRM), CXOne, Aurora, Member Portal and associated systems.
The role operates at the intersection of business and technology, acting as a key liaison between Business stakeholders, Customer Platforms team and Group Solutions to ensure business needs are clearly understood and translated into high-quality, deliverable requirements.
This role contributes across both BAU operations and delivery initiatives, including requirements development, system optimisation, UAT coordination, and continuous improvement of customer-facing processes and platforms.
A strong emphasis is placed on stakeholder management, collaboration, and practical system knowledge, ensuring solutions are aligned with business outcomes, platform capabilities, and strategic direction.
Key activities will include:
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Manage relationships and act as the key interface between business and technology
- Gather needs and translate them into clear, actionable outcomes
Requirements Development & Analysis
- Identify, document and validate requirements aligned to business objectives
- Support backlog refinement and solution design
Customer Platform Support (D365, CXOne, Aurora)
- Build strong functional knowledge and guide stakeholders on platform use
- Identify opportunities to optimise processes, data, and system utilisation
Delivery & Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) Support
- Collaborate across the SDLC to support design, UAT and release activities
- Ensure delivery meets agreed scope, quality, and timelines
BAU Support & Continuous Improvement
- Support issue resolution and root cause analysis
- Drive continuous improvement and maintain documentation
Skills and experience required:
- Platform Knowledge: Experience with D365 (preferred), CXOne, Aurora or similar customer platforms; Strong front-end user capability and understanding of CRM/customer processes
- Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of requirements development and the software development lifecycle.
- Analytical skills: Ability to analyse data from MI systems, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing system issues and improving workflows.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a similar role involving business analysis.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various stakeholders.
