Medical Receptionist – Casual Position
St Marys Skin Cancer Clinic – St Marys, NSW
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Medical Receptionist to join our small team in St Marys.
This is a casual position with regular shifts on the following days, as well as sick and annual leave cover when required:
- Tuesday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Thursday: 9:00am – 4:00pm
- Friday: 7:30am – 2:00pm
Our clinic is open Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet and greet patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer and transfer incoming phone calls
- Make recall and reminder phone calls and manage the reminder system
- Book appointments and maintain the appointment diary
- Update and maintain patient records
- Take accurate notes in patient records
- Maintain and process pathology results
- Copy, scan, shred and file important documents
- Maintain a clean and tidy reception and waiting room
- Cold Chain Management
- General reception and administrative duties as required

- Able to work independently and as part of a small team
- Friendly, professional and approachable
- Positive, enthusiastic and willing to learn
- Confident with basic computer skills
- Experienced in reception duties, including typing, phone etiquette and appointment bookings
- Competent using Microsoft Word, Excel and Gmail
- Knowledge of Best Practice Software and Medicare Online Billing/Claiming is highly regarded
