Fixed term temporary full-time, commencing 23/06/2026 to 30/06/2027
Salary range:
$144,991 to $151,289 p.a. (HP5)
$139,951 to $151,949 p.a. (NG7)
4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

About your opportunity:
This role will lead, coordinate and enable the timely and effective implementation of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) and prehabilitation (ERAS +) pathways at Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS) as part of the Healthcare Improvement Unit (HIU) SAFEST SurgiFLOW program.
The ERAS+ Coordinator acts as a local clinical and improvement lead, working in partnership with surgical, anaesthetic, perioperative, allied health and patient flow teams, Hospital and Health Services (HHSs) and the HIU to support consistent, evidence-based perioperative care pathways that improve patient outcomes, patient experience, surgical flow and system performance.
The role supports implementation across both planned and unplanned surgical pathways, ensuring ERAS+ principles are applied consistently to appropriate patient cohorts. The role may be required to work across all facilities within the Townsville HHS, supporting coordinated and consistent implementation of ERAS+ pathways across relevant surgical services.
Requirements:
Mandatory qualifications (Nursing or Senior Allied Health) and proof of registration (if applicable).
Possession of relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable.
This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
Probation period may apply.
