The NSW Department of Education is seeking a strategic, data-driven Professional to lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our financial information and processing systems across schools and divisions.
The Manager, Finance Business Systems Support will reduce risk, enhance financial management, and drive system and process improvements to support effective financial and resource management.

About you
- Substantial experience in effectively managing a team to deliver business and project outcomes.
- You are a strategic, data-driven professional with proven experience in financial systems management, process improvement, and data analysis across diverse source systems.
- You excel at consolidating financial records, developing flexible funding allocation models, and driving continuous system and process enhancements to reduce risk and improve financial management.
- You build and sustain strategic partnerships with internal teams, schools, and external agencies, translating complex financial information into actionable insights for senior leaders.
- You are skilled in risk identification, mitigation planning, and delivering programs on schedule while optimizing budget returns in resource-constrained environments.
- You communicate clearly to diverse audiences, lead cross-functional initiatives, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within portfolios and educational institutions.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
