About the role
For those interested in immersing themselves in a professional and aspirational environment that supports your success and ongoing learning and development, we welcome applications for a permanent, full-time English & Humanities Teacher in Years 7 – 12 commencing in 2027.
Applicants must have a positive attitude and a proven record of excellence in teaching that incorporates evidenced-based practice in an engaging and supportive manner. Teachers at Geelong Grammar School are required to be actively involved in our pastoral care and co-curricular programmes.

What you will be doing
- Supporting the collaborative design of the Years 7–12 curriculum across English and Humanities
- Contributing to co-curricular programs and broader initiatives across the School’s campuses
- Participating in professional learning, reflective practice and continuous improvement activities
- Undertaking administrative, organisational and supervisory requirements
- Enabling student wellbeing through pastoral care, relationship building and active engagement with families
- Other duties as required commensurate with your teaching role
What we are looking for
- An experienced educator with a strong teaching background in middle and/or senior years
- The ability to teach a combination of English and Humanities
- Passionate about contemporary pedagogy and adolescent development
- Strong curriculum design and planning skills
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with students, parents, staff and externals stakeholders
- Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills, with the capacity to work across faculties and with external partners
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with excellent attention to detail
