We are seeking a dedicated, reliable and motivated individual (18 years or older) to join our team at Cold Rock Ice Creamery Lilydale.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced customer service environment and is looking for a long-term position with the opportunity to develop leadership skills.
The successful candidate will receive training and support to learn all areas of store operations. Over time, the right person will have the opportunity to take on more responsibility, support junior team members and grow into a leadership role.
As a Team Member, you will play an important role in supporting daily store operations while maintaining high standards of customer service, food quality, cleanliness and store presentation.
We are looking for someone who is motivated, quick to learn, takes initiative and is interested in gradually developing into a key team member.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and professional customer service.
- Maintain a clean and tidy appearance and follow uniform standards.
- Create a welcoming atmosphere for customers and team members.
- Support daily store operations during day and evening shifts.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including equipment setup, cleaning, cash handling and securing the store.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety and store presentation.
- Support and guide junior team members to follow company standards.
- Assist with stock management, stocktakes and ordering preparation.
- Help resolve customer enquiries and minor operational issues professionally.
- Work closely with the Store Manager and Shift Leaders to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Lead by example and contribute to a positive and respectful team environment.
What We're Looking For
- 18 years of age or older.

- Quick learner who can understand procedures and apply feedback.
- Strong attention to detail and takes pride in doing things correctly.
- Comfortable working with junior team members.
- Comfortable with the physical requirements of hospitality work.
- Previous hospitality, retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Previous leadership experience is highly regarded but not essential.
- Available for a flexible rotating roster, including weekdays, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Work Schedule
Average trading hours: 11:00 am – 10:30 pm
Initial shifts may be shorter while training and learning store procedures.
As you become more confident with our systems and standards, hours and responsibilities may increase depending on your availability, performance and business needs.
Typical shifts may include:
- Day shifts
- Evening shifts
- Weekend shifts
Expected hours:
15–30 hours per week (depending on availability, training progress and business needs).
Pay: $28.00 – $32.00 per hour
