Your Mission
Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, you'll lead the team responsible for creating the learning experiences, systems and capability frameworks that help our people build confidence, develop the right skills and perform at their best from day one.
This isn't about delivering training for training's sake. It's about creating learning experiences that are unmistakably BOUNCE, giving our people the confidence, skills and mindset to create magic moments for every customer.
You'll shape how people learn at BOUNCE by designing practical learning journeys, building capability frameworks, evolving our learning systems and giving leaders confidence that their teams are ready to deliver safe, consistent and exceptional experiences.
As we continue on our Road Trip to 100 venues, you'll help ensure we can grow without losing what makes us special, because every great customer experience starts with a capable, confident and connected team.
Why This Role Is Different
Most learning roles focus on delivering content. This role is about building the systems behind capability.
You'll lead the team responsible for defining role requirements, creating learning pathways, validating competence and providing visibility of capability across the business.
Your work will influence how quickly new team members become productive, how consistently our venues operate, how effectively new venues are onboarded, and how confidently leaders can assess readiness within their teams.
You'll have the opportunity to shape how capability is built across one of Australia's most exciting growth businesses while creating systems that support thousands of team members today and many more in the future.
What You'll Be Doing
Capability Architecture & Frameworks
- Design and own the capability architecture across operational roles
- Build competency frameworks that clearly define role expectations, required skills and readiness standards
- Create structured learning pathways that support onboarding, development and progression within role
- Define what good looks like and establish consistent capability expectations across the network
- Ensure capability standards evolve alongside business needs and growth
Learning Systems & Governance
- Lead the ongoing optimisation of Dayforce Learning as our central learning and capability platform
- Build learning journeys, automated workflows and capability tracking systems
- Create visibility across training completion, competency attainment, compliance and readiness
- Establish governance frameworks that ensure accuracy, consistency and adoption
- Use data and reporting to drive continuous improvement
Capability Assessment & Readiness
- Design assessment tools that validate capability, not simply training completion
- Create structured sign-off and verification processes for operational roles
- Develop role readiness frameworks that support consistency across venues
- Identify capability gaps and partner with operational leaders to implement solutions
- Ensure learning translates into performance on the floor
Operational Training & Business Partnership
- Partner closely with Operations leaders to understand capability needs and priorities
- Support venue teams through scalable learning solutions and operational training frameworks
- Ensure learning experiences remain practical, engaging and aligned to operational realities
- Use capability data and operational insight to improve performance outcomes
- Build systems that support business growth while maintaining consistency and quality

- Proven experience building learning systems, capability frameworks or operational training architecture
- Experience leading learning, capability or workforce development functions
- Experience leading and developing teams
- Strong experience working within multi-site operational environments
- Experience designing competency frameworks, capability assessments and learning pathways
- Experience with LMS platforms and learning technology, Dayforce experience highly regarded
- Strong understanding of compliance, operational training and workforce capability systems
- Demonstrated ability to use data and insights to drive capability outcomes
- Experience supporting growth and scaling organisations highly desirable
