We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Facilities Officer to help keep our campuses running smoothly by creating a safe, welcoming and well-maintained environment for our students.
More about the role:
- General maintenance - complete day‑to‑day repairs, basic carpentry, painting, minor plumbing and general upkeep.
- Facilities inspections - carry out regular checks of buildings, classrooms, equipment and outdoor areas.
- Contractor support - assist with scheduling and supervising external trades and service providers.
- Safety & compliance- maintain logs, support WHS processes and ensure facilities meet regulatory standards.
- Event setup - prepare spaces for school events, assemblies and community activities.
- Grounds care - support gardening, outdoor maintenance and general presentation of the campus.
- Responsive support - action maintenance requests promptly and assist with urgent repairs.
About you:
- Practical, proactive and able to troubleshoot issues independently
- Comfortable working in a school environment
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience in maintenance, trades or facilities roles
- Commitment to safety, compliance and high‑quality work
- Trade certificate preferred
