About The Opportunity
Travel Money Currency Exchange Pty Ltd is the 100% owned foreign exchange (FX) retail business of Flight Centre Ltd and is one of the fastest growing brands in the Flight Centre group.
You will play a key role as an Accountant, supporting the financial integrity and performance of the business. You will work across a broad range of finance activities, partnering with stakeholders and driving process improvements. This is an opportunity to build your expertise in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment while contributing to meaningful business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Complete fixed asset reconciliations
• Track and process internal transactions
• Provide financial support and guidance to stakeholders
• Assist with audit workpapers and respond to audit queries
• Prepare monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and clean‑up activities
• Track and process payments to internal and external stakeholders
• Support banking and treasury tasks, including ad hoc invoice payments
• Manage expense claims and gift card processing and reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and efficiencies
• Support system implementations and process improvement initiatives
• Perform reconciliations including bank accounts, accounts payable and receivable
• Able to travel (AU and NZ) for store audits, must have driver's license (Audits shared amongst Accountants), potential travel 1-2 times per year.
Experience & Qualifications
• CPA or CA qualification highly desirable
• High adaptability in a changing environment
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Proven ability to collaborate and build relationships
• Strong time management and ability to work under pressure
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or similar
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or similar (completed or in progress)
