The Role:
The Fashion Quality Control Officer is responsible for overseeing the accuracy, consistency, and quality of all product samples prior to production. This role coordinates the sample-checking workflow across the fashion assistant team, ensures all samples are reviewed against specifications, and maintains an organised and traceable sample archive. This role will work closely with the production team to identify issues early, minimise errors, and uphold brand quality standards.

What You'll Do:
Quality control: Dive into a world of fabrics, colours, and designs as you carefully scrutinise fashion samples to ensure they align with our high standards. You'll spot imperfections, quality issues and details that do not fit the manufacturing brief.
Collaborative environment: Work closely with our design, production, and quality assurance teams to communicate your findings and contribute to the continuous improvement of our products.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sample Quality Control:
- Review all incoming samples (OS, PP, SS, bulk, trims) against approved tech packs, measurements, materials, branding and workmanship standards.
- Identify quality issues, defects, inconsistencies, and record them with clear notes and images.
- Ensure all samples are checked within required timeframes to avoid production delays.
- Approve or reject samples based on Quality Check (QC) criteria and escalate concerns where required.
2. Coordination of Sample Checking Workflow:
- Assign sample-checking tasks to fashion assistants based on workload and skill level.
- Provide guidance and training to assistants on QC processes, measurement techniques, and documentation standards.
- Monitor progress daily to ensure timely completion and accurate record-keeping.
- Perform final verification on samples checked by assistants before passing to production.
3. Production Team Collaboration:
- Liaise with the Production Manager, Production Coordinators and suppliers to clarify issues, request corrections, and ensure accurate revisions.
- Technical understanding of patterns, tech packs, and sampling stages (PP/SS).
- Certificate or degree in Fashion, Textiles, Production, or related field (preferred).
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Accuracy of QC checks and reduction in sample-related production errors.
- Timeliness of sample checking and workflow coordination.
- Organisation and traceability of the sample room and sample logs.
- Clear, consistent communication with production and assistants.
- Continuous improvement in QC processes.
