Administrator / Bookkeeper Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrator / Bookkeeper with an ABN to support the day-to-day operations of our engineering business. With contractors working at several sites around Sydney. This role combines administrative support with bookkeeping responsibilities, ensuring efficient office management and accurate financial record-keeping.
Key Responsibilities Administration
- Manage daily office operations and administrative tasks.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and customer enquiries professionally.
- Weekly contractor invoices both paid and processed/sent.
- Maintain filing systems, records, and company documentation.
- Schedule appointments and meetings as required.
- Prepare correspondence and Quotes as required.
- Assist with data entry and database management.
- Support management with general office administration duties.
Bookkeeping
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and issue invoices and follow up outstanding payments.
- Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping entries.
- Process pays to contractors.
- Assist with BAS/GST preparation and reporting (if applicable).
- Work with external accountants during month-end and year-end processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in administration and bookkeeping roles.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Bookkeeping and Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
Pay: $49,900.00 – $150,000.00 per year
