Rackley Swimming Runaway Bay | Runaway Bay Sports Hub
Love working with people? Happiest around the water? Looking for a role where you can build a career in aquatics rather than just pick up a few shifts?
Rackley Swimming Runaway Bay, located inside the Runaway Bay Sports Hub, is looking for energetic, people-focused Customer Service & Pool Lifeguard team members to join us.
This is a true multi-skilled aquatic role. You won’t spend every shift behind a reception desk or every shift on the pool deck. You’ll work across both Customer Service and Pool Lifeguarding, helping us create a safe, welcoming and genuinely great experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
We also have opportunities across other nearby North Gold Coast venues, so there’s scope for variety and additional shifts.
A bit of everything and that’s what makes working in aquatics fun.
You could be:
-
welcoming customers and families into the centre
-
helping with enquiries, bookings, memberships and accounts
-
creating great experiences and building relationships with our regular customers
-
processing transactions and assisting with our programs and services
-
jumping onto pool deck as a qualified Pool Lifeguard
-
keeping a watchful eye on safety and responding when needed
-
helping keep the venue clean, safe and looking its best
-
supporting your teammates across the centre
-
learning more about venue operations and building your leadership skills
Our Customer Service team plays an active role in customer engagement, enquiries, transactions, memberships, problem solving and creating a positive experience throughout the venue.
We’re not only looking for people to fill shifts.
We’re looking for people who want to grow with us.
If you’ve got leadership potential, good judgement, initiative and the confidence to take ownership, there may be an opportunity to upskill and develop towards a Duty Manager role.
So if you’re thinking, “I’m ready for more responsibility, I just need someone to give me the opportunity,” we’d especially love to hear from you.
-
love working with people
-
bring positive energy to your team
-
communicate confidently with customers of all ages
-
are reliable and willing to get stuck in
-
can stay calm and switched on in a busy aquatic environment
-
enjoy variety and don't want to do the same thing all day
-
take safety seriously
-
want to learn and potentially progress into leadership
Previous customer service experience is preferred, but we're equally interested in finding people with the right attitude, energy and potential. The position also calls for strong communication, relationship-building, organisation and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
For this position, you'll need to hold and maintain:
-
Pool Lifeguard Certificate
-
First Aid
-
CPR
-
Blue Card
These qualifications are requirements of the Customer Service Attendant position.
Because a job in aquatics can be a whole lot more than watching a pool or working behind a counter.
You'll be part of a team that gets to know its customers, creates a great community environment and helps people enjoy the water safely.
And if you're keen to build a career in the industry, we want to help you take that next step.
Sounds like your kind of place? Dive in and apply now!
