The SWSLHD Transitional Aged Care Program (TACP) is seeking a highly experienced Occupational Therapist to take on a pivotal & challenging role as the Clinical Educator. TACP is a unique community-based program which provides slow stream, goal-orientated, time based therapy to older adults in the their own home following a period of hospitalisation. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in community, aged care and/or rehabilitation, along with demonstrated competence in service development and education.
This District wide position would be responsible for managing student placements and supporting their education alongside the clinical education & development of community aged care therapists. This position would also be responsible for enhancing the service by establishing and leading quality improvement & research projects focused on ensuring TACP is providing high quality evidence-based care.
Location of the position is negotiable; however, the position will require some flexibility with assisting teams across the District to develop and support staff & students and assist with carrying a clinical load during periods of low staffing and/or increased demand.

Extensive clinical experience in a relevant area (aged care, community and/or rehabilitation)

Proven ability to manage competing demands and prioritise tasks effectively & the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
