In this fast-paced and rewarding environment, you’ll prepare fresh, high-quality meals for the Australian Defence community across breakfast, lunch, and dinner messes. Casual Opportunities available | $37.91 + $3 allowance per hour (inclusive of casual loading)

Penalty rates for shifts after 6 pm & Rotating rosters weekends, and public holidays

Sharpen your culinary skills under the guidance of a highly experienced Sous & Head Chef
- Gain hands-on experience in a high-volume kitchen environment whilst developing & mastering new recipes

Uniform/PPE provided
What you’ll do:

Prepare and serve meals for Defence personnel

Help with catering for events and functions
-
Work closely with our skilled Head Chef and develop your skills!

Keep the kitchen clean and safe

Work with a great team and support junior staff

Follow food safety standards
About you
-
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or higher)
-
HACCP Level 2 certification
-
3+ years’ experience in large commercial kitchen environments
-
Flexible and adaptive in complex, multi-stakeholder settings
-
Strong planning and organisational abilities
-
Professional, enthusiastic, and aligned with Ventia’s values
-
Be an Australian Citizen (for security clearance)
