Prior experience within the Building & Construction Trades Industry is highly desirable
Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Excel is essential
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
Ability to read building plans & understand construction take off’s is highly desirable
Ability to work from the Pinkenba office full time – This is not a Work from Home Role

About the Role
As an Estimator, you will have the responsibility for delivering accurate and timely project estimates within the Knauf Linings business unit. With a strong focus on customer service, agility and quality, you will play an important part of the Contracting Operations team supporting both internal stakeholders and external customers.
Some tasks as part of this role include:
Review requests for quotation (RFQ) and estimates
Prepare and issue quotes accordingly.
Review and process quantity take offs to ensure they are in line with purchase orders and customer requests
Follow up on quotes with builder customers.
Facilitate margin control and order acceptance process – ensure take-off accurately reflects customer specifications and orders
Keep up to date with all quotation and delivery requests for the allocated customer portfolio or region
Address customer enquiries/requests in a timely manner and direct inquiries to alternative personnel where appropriate.
Keep IT systems up to date with quotation and delivery progress for accurate reporting.
Liaise with take-off provider on estimating related matters.
