Join the Finance Systems team within the Financial Performance – Insurance Australia department at Auto & General. This small, specialised team sits at the intersection of finance and technology, working closely with finance users across the business to optimise and enhance our finance systems. You'll be part of Corporate Finance, a division dedicated to delivering accurate, timely financial insights that drive business decisions. The role
As a Finance Systems Analyst, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our finance systems are configured, maintained, and enhanced to meet the evolving needs of the business. You'll be the bridge between finance users and technology, translating business requirements into system solutions and providing expert support and training to help users get the most from our platforms.

Analyse business requirements and configure finance systems to deliver new functionality and enhancements

Collaborate with finance users and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide guidance on system best practices

Engage with the business to understand reporting requirements and configure systems to drive automation across the reporting platform

Configure and maintain system settings, parameters, and security permissions to support business processes and data integrity

Provide end-user support, troubleshooting system issues, answering inquiries, and delivering training on system functionality

Collaborate with IT teams and external vendors to manage system upgrades and ensure seamless integration with other business systems

Develop and maintain system documentation, including user guides, process flows, and configuration notes

Participate in finance systems projects, including implementations, process improvements, and data migrations

Stay informed about emerging trends in finance systems and technology, applying knowledge to support continuous improvement

Ensure finance systems are maintained in accordance with data governance, internal policies, and regulatory requirements
What experience you'll bring

3 to 5 years' experience in a finance systems or business systems analyst role in a comparable business

Strong understanding of financial performance management cycles and full-cycle financial model delivery

Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and analyse complex data

Experience in Power BI reporting or similar business intelligence tools (preferred but not essential)

Exposure to EPM / TM1 or similar Enterprise Performance Management systems is highly regarded

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across finance, IT, and external vendors

Ability to meet business-critical deadlines and work flexibly to meet the needs of the business

A willingness to learn new technology and stay current with industry trends

Bachelor's degree in systems, accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field (preferred)

Experience in the Banking, Finance & Insurance and/or Technology industry is desirable
