Male Disability Support Worker – Kallangur, Brisbane QLD

Position: Disability Support Worker
Location: Kallangur, Brisbane QLD
Employment Type: Casual
Pay Rate: From $35.15 per hour (SCHADS Award – Social & Community Services Level 1, Pay Point 3), excluding superannuation.
About the Role
Ardor Care is currently seeking a reliable, patient, and engaging male support worker to support a 10-year-old participant in Kallangur.
This role focuses on providing morning support before school, helping the participant establish positive routines and start the day successfully. The ideal worker will be encouraging, consistent, and able to build a positive rapport with young people.
Shift Requirements
Monday to Friday
7:00 AM – 9:00 AM
Please only apply if you can commit to these shifts consistently.
There may also be opportunities for additional shifts with this participant and other participants across our organisation in the future.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting morning routines and school readiness
- Providing prompts and encouragement with personal tasks and responsibilities
- Assisting the participant to complete household chores and routine activities
- Supporting the development of independence and positive habits
- Transporting the participant to school
- Maintaining professional communication and accurate documentation
- Providing support in a calm, positive, and participant-centred manner
What We're Looking For
- Reliable and punctual support workers
- Positive, patient, and engaging approach
- Ability to build rapport with children and young people
- Previous disability support, youth work, mentoring, or community support experience preferred.
Requirements
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Blue Card (QLD Working With Children Check)
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Valid Driver Licence
- Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- Full working rights in Australia
