The Role
We are seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician Trainee to join our engineering team in Castle Hill. This role is essential for supporting laboratory operations and ensuring the accuracy of testing and analysis. As a trainee, you will gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in a dynamic environment, contributing to our commitment to quality and innovation in engineering.
Responsibilities

Performing calibrations and tests in accordance with the Trescal Management System for both field and laboratory.
- Performing fault finding and repairs to customer supplied instruments
- Learning testing technologies and applying knowledge to customer support activities.
- Customer Support on equipment enquires.
- Recording service work performed in the TST Database and Calibration System Database
- Researching spare parts and requesting spare parts purchases
- Always maintain a safe working environment and alert management of any possible safety issues or recommendations.
- Carrying out tasks allocated by the Team Leader or Laboratory Manager.
- Willingness to travel to Regional NSW for jobs, when required.
- Basic understanding of laboratory safety protocols.
Qualifications:

Tertiary education with an appropriate degree and 2 or more years’ experience in the classes of test or;
- Technical education (Certificate III or IV) or completion of a Trade Apprenticeship in an appropriate area and 3 of more years’ experience in the classes of test or;
- Experience performing calibrations in the classes of test
