We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Chef de Partie to join our professional kitchen team.
About the Role
This is a hands-on position for a chef who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in producing high-quality food consistently. You will work closely with our Head Chef and Sous Chef while managing your section and supporting junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and run a designated section during service
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistently high standard
- Ensure food quality, portion control, and presentation standards are maintained
- Assist with stock rotation, ordering, and inventory control
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures
- Support and mentor apprentices, commis chefs, and kitchen hands
- Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team during busy service periods
- Contribute ideas for specials and menu development
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef de Partie or experienced Commis Chef ready to step up
- Strong understanding of modern Australian cuisine
- Experience working across grill, larder, pans, or pizza sections highly regarded
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of food safety standards
- Reliable, professional, and passionate about hospitality
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
