As the Housekeeping Team Leader, you will supervise daily cleaning operations to maintain hygiene standards using industrial equipment. You will ensure compliance with safety protocols and manage laundering tasks effectively. You will communicate with staff and residents, oversee waste management practices, and monitor budget impacts while addressing safety concerns to uphold service quality.
Responsibilities include:
- Leads and supervises the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping team to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained across all resident rooms and public areas, in accordance with Bolton Clarke’s standards and individual resident requirements.
- Ensures all laundry services are conducted efficiently to meet the needs of the site and residents, including handling and storing chemicals in accordance with manufacturer instructions and Aged Care Act requirements.
- Manages the ordering, stock control, and storage processes for housekeeping and catering supplies, ensuring that all materials are stored appropriately.
- Monitors food safety and hygiene practices in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with the Food Safety Plan and aged care regulations.
To be successful in this role, our preferred candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Hospitality Management, Cleaning Operations is preferred. Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience considered.
- Moderate experience in housekeeping or cleaning services in a healthcare or aged care setting is preferred.
- Certificate IV in Food Services or Commercial Cookery is prescribed.
- Proficient in Food Safety & Compliance, Health & Safety Programs and Policies, Inventory Management, Contract Management and Budget Management.
- Excellent Communication, Customer Experience, Planning and Prioritisation, and Problem Solving skills.
