Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team.
About the role
This is a full-time position based in the South East.
You will be responsible for servicing, diagnostics and emergency repairs on trucks and earthmoving machines, ensuring our customers’ equipment is safe, compliant and back on the job as quickly as possible. You will work both in the field and in the workshop across Greater Melbourne and surrounding areas.
Key responsibilities
- Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers and earthmoving machinery.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical faults.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns on-site and roadside, carrying out efficient, safe repairs to minimise downtime.
- Conduct inspections, identify potential issues early and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate service records, job cards and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate with the team to organise parts, tools and job scheduling.
- Provide professional, customer-focused service on every job and represent LEVRAM positively on site.

Skills and experience
- Trade-qualified Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent).
- Experience servicing and repairing trucks and/or earthmoving machinery (construction or earthmoving industry experience highly regarded).
- Strong diagnostic skills across engines, driveline, hydraulics, braking and cooling systems.
- Ability to handle field breakdowns safely and independently, including after-hours call-outs when required.
- Current driver’s licence (HR or above highly regarded) and White Card or willingness to obtain.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship and preventative maintenance.
- Reliable, self-motivated and able to communicate clearly with customers and team members.
