Role Overview
As a Wok Chef at Noodle Box, you’ll be the heart of the action—crafting wok-charred noodle and rice dishes with flair and consistency. You'll bring the sights, smells, and sizzle of a street-food hawker experience straight to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a variety of noodle and rice dishes—including Pad Thai, Mongolian, Satay, Honey Soy, and Vegetarian specialties—exactly to our master recipes
- Execute dishes with precise timing, tempo, and wok-char technique to ensure quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Keep your station clean, organized, and stocked during service, following food safety and health regulations.
- Work as part of the kitchen team—supporting peers, communicating clearly, and helping maintain a flow that’s as smooth as our sauces.
- Continuously learn and adapt, embracing menu innovations and seasonal specials as they arise.
Qualifications & Skills
- Professional experience as a wok chef or in a high-paced Asian kitchen environment—experience with Southeast Asian flavours ideal.
- Mastery of heat control, timing, and the unique technique of wok-char cooking.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for consistency and speed.
- Strong communication skills, teamwork, and a positive, can-do mindset.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and allergen awareness.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
