We are seeking an experienced Pastry Cook to join our growing team and contribute to the daily production of our premium pastry and dessert offerings.
About the Role
Working alongside our pastry and kitchen team, you will be involved in the preparation and production of cakes, desserts, pastries, baked goods, and specialty products that form part of the Red Cacao experience.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with quality ingredients, takes pride in consistency and presentation, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and produce a range of cakes, pastries, desserts, slices, and baked goods.
- Follow recipes and production schedules to ensure consistency and quality.
- Assist with seasonal product development and special event preparations.
- Maintain high standards of presentation across all products.
- Support daily kitchen operations and production planning.
- Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene standards are maintained at all times.
- Assist with stock rotation, ingredient preparation, and inventory management.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver exceptional products and customer experiences.
About You
You are passionate about baking and pastry, enjoy working with quality ingredients, and take pride in producing products to a consistently high standard.
You are reliable, organised, and bring a positive attitude to the workplace.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Pastry Cook, Baker, or in a similar pastry production role.
- Experience preparing cakes, desserts, pastries, or baked goods in a commercial kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain consistency under pressure.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Highly Regarded
- Experience working with chocolate products and confectionery.
- Formal pastry or baking qualifications.
- Experience in artisan, café, or boutique food production environments.
- An interest in sustainability, quality ingredients, and premium food experiences.
