THE ROLE
We are seeking a Finance Officer to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for providing high-quality accounts payable, procurement, financial administration and customer service support to the School, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of financial transactions supporting budge management and compliance requirements and contributing to the efficient operation of the Finance team through professional, customer-focussed service.
Key responsibilities include:

Provide budget advice and support to Budget Managers

Complete end-of-month Accounts Payable and Purchasing processes and participate in end-of-year finance processes.

Process general ledger journals, maintain Fix Asset Register, and monitor and report capital expenditure.

Prepare and collate financial management reporting information as required by the Finance Manager and assist with ad hoc financial, reporting, audit and project related tasks.

Perform daily/ monthly bank reconciliations and contribute to cash flow reporting and forecasting.

Prepare the School’s BAS.

Ensure compliance with the School’s Purchasing Policy and Delegations of Authority requirements.

Assist with procurement and tender processes and maintain procurement records and supporting documentation

Assist with internal and external auditing requirements by providing accounts payable, procurement, reconciliation and supporting documentations.
ABOUT YOU
You are a highly organised, proactive and solutions focussed individual with well-developed interpersonal skills, discretion and integrity, and high-level accuracy and attention to detail. You bring:

Demonstrated experience in accounts payable, procurement, financial administration or similar finance role.

Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying financial policies, procedures, and delegations.
- Experience using financial management systems, preferably TASS or similar enterprise finance software and intermediate or advanced skills in Microsoft office.

Well-developed communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with a range of stakeholders.

Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve discrepancies.

School experience would be highly regarded.
