Schedule
Full-time
A 38-hour week (Monday – Friday + reasonable overtime).
Salary (Negotiable - Experience, knowledge, and ability will be taken into consideration).
The Position
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a human resources professional who enjoys partnering with managers, providing practical workplace relations advice, and contributing to the development of people-focused initiatives that support business growth and employee engagement.
Reporting to the HR Manager, you will play a key role in delivering a broad range of human resources services across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, workplace investigations, workforce planning, and policy development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide HR and workplace relations advice to managers and employees on employment matters, performance management, disciplinary processes, and workplace behaviour.
- Support and conduct workplace investigations, grievance resolution, and employee relations matters.
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities, including advertising, interviewing, onboarding, and workforce planning.
- Interpret and apply employment legislation, Modern Awards, employment contracts, and company policies.
- Assist managers with performance management processes, employee development, and performance improvement plans.
- Develop, review, and implement HR policies, procedures, and people initiatives.
- Support employee engagement, wellbeing, and workplace consultation programs.
- Prepare employment contracts, position descriptions, and other employment-related documentation.
- Analyse HR metrics and workforce data to support informed business decisions.
- Contribute to workforce capability, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with legislative and organisational requirements.
The Candidate
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Modern Awards, and workplace relations practices.
- Experience managing employee relations matters, workplace investigations, and performance management processes.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
- The ability to build strong working relationships with employees and leaders at all levels.
Desired Competencies
- Qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in a Human Resources Advisor, Human Resources Officer, or similar role.
