About us:
Central Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Services provides specialist mental health, alcohol and other drug support to more than 250,000 people across Central Queensland, including Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana.
Based in Rockhampton and the Capricorn Coast, our Adult Community Services Team supports adults experiencing complex mental health challenges through assessment, treatment, case management, support and referrals.
Working alongside hospitals, GPs, community and private providers, we help people manage their mental health, reduce symptoms and move towards recovery together.
About the role:
Deliver recovery-focused care to people living in the community with serious mental health conditions, using advanced clinical knowledge and judgement.
Provide comprehensive case management, including assessment, treatment, intervention, follow-up, care planning and evaluation within a multidisciplinary team.
Support consumers, families and carers, advocating for their needs and coordinating care with General Practitioners, Non-Government Organisations and CQHHS services.
Apply clinical expertise and critical thinking to complex situations while maintaining professional, ethical and documentation standards.
Share knowledge and build capability by supporting students and less experienced practitioners, contributing to clinical education, supervision and ongoing professional development.
About you:
Hold qualifications and registration with the appropriate registration authority to practice in any of the following: Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work. Appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016 is highly desirable.
Sound clinical knowledge and skills to deliver routine mental health care with an understanding of recovery-focused practice.
Strong communication and teamwork skills to build effective partnerships within multidisciplinary teams and external government and community services.
Effective organisation and prioritisation to manage and deliver routine adult mental health services.
Collaborative and consumer-focused approach, supporting quality care through consultation, communication and shared professional knowledge.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $132,567 p.a. is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $43.97 - $58.59 p.h.
