About the Opportunity
This is your chance to be at the heart of a nationally significant event. The 2026 Man with a Pram Sunshine Coast event marks the campaign's 10-year milestone — making it the largest and most visible event in the campaign's history, set to attract major national media attention.
We're looking for a motivated, organised Events Coordinator to own the on-the-ground delivery of this landmark event. From permit management to event-day execution, you'll be the local driving force behind one of Australia's most beloved community campaigns celebrating dads and positive mental health for fathers.
What You'll Do
Event Planning & Logistics
▸ Lead all on-the-ground logistics for the Sunshine Coast Man with a Pram event
▸ Research, prepare, and submit all required Sunshine Coast Council event permits
▸ Develop and manage bump-in/bump-out schedules and run sheets
▸ Liaise with local community groups, venue contacts, and council representatives
▸ Maintain knowledge of the event route including start and finish points
▸ Ensure all health, safety, and compliance requirements are met
Community & Stakeholder Engagement
▸ Coordinate with local participants, community groups, and volunteers
▸ Manage event-day communications and respond to participant enquiries
▸ Support local sponsor and giveaway logistics (e.g. merchandise packs) as directed
Administration & Reporting
▸ Manage event registration tracking and administrative tasks
▸ Liaise with the national admin support team to align on processes, templates, and comms
▸ Provide post-event reporting and documentation
▸ Support the development of a standardised event pack for future use
About You
▸ Experience in event coordination, community events, or project management
▸ Familiarity with local council permit processes (or a willingness to learn quickly)
▸ Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
▸ Confident communicator — comfortable liaising with councils, community groups, and stakeholders
▸ Self-directed and proactive; able to work independently alongside remote national leadership
▸ Passion for community, family, or men's health causes is highly regarded
▸ Knowledge of the Sunshine Coast area is advantageous
▸1+ years of work experience with Event Coordination
