Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our Finance team at our Head Office in Western Australia.
About the Role
Reporting to the Payroll Lead and working closely with the broader Finance team, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processing for a large and diverse workforce across multiple sites and jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end payroll processing across multiple facilities and employee groups
- Interpretation and application of Awards, Enterprise Agreements and relevant legislation
- Processing new starters, employee changes, terminations and payroll adjustments
- Managing payroll reconciliations and ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance
- Responding to payroll enquiries and providing exceptional internal customer service
- Supporting month-end, year-end and statutory reporting requirements
- Maintaining accurate employee and payroll records within payroll systems
- Collaborating with HR and Finance teams to support reporting and workforce data requirements
- Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiencies
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Previous experience in a Payroll Officer role
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation and workers compensation requirements
- Proven experience interpreting Awards and Enterprise Bargaining Agreements
- Advanced attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong Excel skills and experience using payroll systems such as MYOB or similar platforms
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships across the business
- A commitment to accuracy, confidentiality and continuous improvement
