WE'RE HIRING!
Waggy is looking for one enthusiastic and reliable team member to join our boutique dog daycare.
This is a casual position and may suit someone looking for part-time hours, such as a parent returning to work, a student, semi-retired, or someone wanting to complement another job.
Regular Hours:
Wednesday: 8:00am – 12:00pm
Thursday: 8:00am – 12:00pm
Friday (rotating):
- Week 1 – 7:00am – 12:00pm
- Week 2 – 1:00pm – 6:00pm
You will also need to be available to help cover staff holidays and sick leave, sometimes at short notice.
We're looking for someone who:
Is confident and comfortable around all breeds, sizes and personalities of dogs.
Has great common sense and can stay calm in a busy environment.
Is happy being on their feet and working in all weather conditions.
Understands that working in dog daycare is much more than cuddling dogs – it's about supervising group play, reading dog body language, anticipating situations before they happen and keeping every dog safe.
Is happy to clean throughout the day and assist with afternoon deep cleaning.
Is reliable, hardworking and enjoys being part of a close-knit team.
Is comfortable taking photos and videos for social media.
Experience working with dogs is an advantage, but not essential. If you're confident around dogs, have a positive attitude and are willing to learn, we can teach you the rest.
