Perfect opportunity to step up into a leadership role, ideally for experienced Registered/Clinical Nurse seeking the next step to develop their career!
About the Role:
Joining the team as a Senior Registered Nurse, you will oversee the day-to-day clinical and operational management of staff allocation and manage casual pool.
You will also provide strategic leadership and support to the department managers to monitor FTE and skill mix and ensure adequate and timely recruitment occurs.
This role will see you:
- Manage the Casual pool cost centre – recruitment of staff.
- Staff development, education for staff, direct line report for all staff.
- Manage daily staffing allocations for the hospital.
- Assist other NUMS with recruitment for their departments.
- Lead strategic recruitment for all areas in the hospital – identify those areas with shortfalls and support NUM with recruitment.
- Main liaison with local agencies for labour hire and staff recruitment.
- Assist hospital executive with efficient use of labour costs.
About you:
You thrive on problem solving, fostering a positive and supportive culture, and providing dedicated and specialised advice to your team members.
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Competent in supervising, leading, directing and motivating staff to achieve excellent outcomes.
- Minimum 5 years postgraduate experience in acute care environment
- Demonstrated extensive clinical skills and experience.
- Effective management of rostering processes and allocation of duties of both clinical and non-clinical staff
- Post-graduate studies in an appropriate specialty or management qualifications will be highly regarded.
