Are you an experienced Warehouse Operator who takes pride in working safely, reliably and independently within a busy manufacturing environment?
IDT Australia is seeking a hands-on and motivated Warehouse Operator to support warehouse and material-handling activities across our pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Boronia.
Working as part of our broader Supply Chain and Warehouse team, you will be responsible for safely receiving, storing, moving and dispatching materials and goods across the site. Daily priorities and work requirements will be set by your manager, however you will be expected to work with a high degree of autonomy in completing assigned activities safely, accurately and on time.
This role is ideally suited to someone with at least 2 years’ warehouse experience within a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of workplace safety and the safe handling and storage of chemicals and other controlled materials.
Experience within pharmaceutical, chemical, GMP-regulated or another highly regulated manufacturing environment will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, store, transfer, pick and dispatch materials and finished goods in accordance with site procedures.
- Safely move and deliver materials across a large manufacturing site to support production and operational requirements.
- Handle and store chemicals, dangerous goods and other materials in accordance with safety requirements, SDS information and site procedures.
- Maintain a safe, clean, organised and compliant warehouse environment.
- Complete required warehouse safety checks, inspections, documentation and records accurately and on time.
- Process stock movements and transactions within the ERP system and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Assist with cycle counts, stocktakes and investigation of inventory discrepancies.
- Support inbound and outbound logistics, including preparation and checking of shipping documentation.
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and responsibly.
- Work autonomously to complete assigned daily activities and escalate safety, quality, inventory or operational issues when required.
- Work collaboratively with Supply Chain, Production, Quality and other teams across the site.
- Contribute to practical improvements in warehouse safety, organisation and efficiency.
- Ensure all activities comply with site safety requirements, GMP, Chain of Responsibility and applicable regulatory requirements.
About You
You will be a reliable, safety-focused warehouse professional who is comfortable working independently once priorities and tasks have been established.
You will bring:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in warehouse, stores or distribution operations within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of the safe handling, storage and movement of chemicals and hazardous materials.
- Strong safety awareness and a commitment to following established procedures and controls.
- Experience within pharmaceutical, chemical, GMP-regulated or another highly regulated manufacturing environment will be highly regarded.
- Practical experience across receiving, storage, picking, dispatch and inventory control.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage assigned tasks effectively and recognise when issues need to be escalated.
- Experience using ERP or inventory management systems.
- High attention to detail and the ability to complete documentation accurately.
- A reliable and team-focused approach, with the flexibility to support different areas of the site as required.
- Physical capability to safely undertake the inherent requirements of a hands-on warehouse role.
- Current forklift licence and Australian driver’s licence.
- Willingness to complete a police check and pre-employment medical assessment.
- Based in Melbourne and available to commence in the near future.
